Ocean County Woman Was Struck and Killed While Crossing White Road near Whitesville Road

On Sunday, February 27, 2022, a woman was struck and killed while crossing a road.
Sabrina Ben-Porat, was struck and killed near the intersection of Whitesville Road, according to the Jackson Township Police Department.
Just after 9:00 p.m., Jackson Township police officers arrived on the scene.
Ben-Porat was crossing the road at the intersection when she was struck in a pedestrian accident by a Dodge Durango driven by a 22 year old, Toms River resident.

The man did not flee the scene. In the aftermath of the accident, no charges have been brought.
CPR was being administered to Ben-Porat as officers arrived at the scene but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is continuing by the Jackson Township Police Department
