Monday Morning Car Accident Kills Off-Duty Police Officer
A automobile crash early Monday morning claimed the life of an off-duty law enforcement officer.
According to Lakewood Police spokesman Gregory Staffordsmith, one officer died as a result of his injuries in the incident on Shorrock Road. The officer's identify or the circumstances of the crash were not disclosed by Staffordsmith, who also stated that the officer was not a Lakewood cop.The police officer collided with a concrete wall at 4 a.m., according to the Lakewood Scoop, which was the first to report the incident.
