After fleeing the scene, the motorist did leave behind some evidence.

After arriving on scene at 11:07 p.m. at the intersection of Commonwealth Boulevard and Champlain Street, Manchester Police stated they were able to detect and trace a trail of fluid that began on Commonwealth and ended on Beacon Street.

Several car parts were also discovered, including a front bumper from a 2016-2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup truck, which authorities believe belongs to the truck after running one of the serial numbers stamped on the item.

For the sake of public safety, police closed Commonwealth Boulevard between Champlain Street and Northampton Boulevard due to downed wires and a severed utility pole base.
