Safe in Philadelphia: Missing One-Year-Old Hakeem Hintzen Found

Hakeem Hintzen is Found Safe

The United States Marshals Service stated on Monday night that a 1-year-old boy who had been reported missing in South Jersey was discovered safe in Philadelphia.

Over the weekend, Vineland, New Jersey, reported the youngster, identified as Hakeem Hintzen, missing.

The 16-year-old accused of stealing the boy, Akera Johns, is being charged with abduction. Right now, she's still evading capture.

According to 6abc.com, the two were last seen at the Cumberland Family Shelter on Mays Landing Road in Vineland on Saturday at around 3 p.m., prior to their sighting on Monday.

Since no one else was available, Takashi Hintzen, the boy's mother, said that Johns offered to watch her son while she showered.

Though Hintzen indicated she agreed, she enquired as to Johns' whereabouts. She claimed that Johns indicated she would be in a play area in response.

"As I step outside, I notice no one. "I see nobody, I see Akera," said Hintzen. Authorities claim that after seeing herself on television, Johns made the decision to give the boy to someone who could get in touch with the boy's family and the police.

Akera Johns Wanted for Kidnapping

Akera Johns is still on the run and wanted for kidnapping.

Akera's height and weight are reported to be 5 feet 10 inches and 140 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair, and braids that are red and black. Her most recent outfit was black trousers, white and black shoes, and a tan jacket.

Anyone with information is asked to dial 911 or call the Vineland Police Department at (856) 696-1212.
