School Bus Collided with a Parked Car in Toms River
Two People Injured
According to the Toms River Police Department, Police and EMT units were summoned to Bamberry Drive at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 25, 2022 for a reported accident involving a school bus.
The bus driver may have had a medical episode that caused the collision with an inhabited, parked automobile and a power pole, according to the initial inquiry.
The bus driver and one of the car's occupants were both transferred to Community Medical Center for treatment.
The students aboard the bus were not injured, according to reports.
A second bus was sent to the location to transfer the students who had not been picked up by their guardians.
Toms River Traffic Safety Officer Adam Koeppen is still investigating the accident.
