1998 Little League Baseball World Series Champion and Two-time MLB All-Star

Todd Frazier, one of Little League International's most illustrious graduates, will be inducted into the Little League Hall of Excellence this August in honor of the 75th Anniversary of the Little League Baseball® World Series.

The Little League President and CEO, Stephen D. Keener, noted that this year marks the 75th Anniversary of the Little League Baseball World Series. "More than 20 years since he helped lead the Toms River East Little League team to the 1998 Little League Baseball World Series championship, Todd Frazier continues to be synonymous with our iconic event every summer," he added.

"Since his time as a player here in Williamsport, and throughout his entire MLB and Olympic Baseball career, Todd has been a tremendous supporter, friend, and advocate of the Little League program, and this year as we celebrate 75 years of this incredible event, we are honored to welcome him into our Hall of Excellence."

Frazier was a member of the "The Beast from the East," or Toms River East American Little League, club that won the 1998 Little League Baseball World Series.

The Hall of Fame noted in a summary of his series statistics that he homered in every game he played in, with the exception of one. He went 9 for 15 with four home runs, including a grand slam, 10 RBI, and 11 runs scored in the five games his club played. He went 4-for-4 with a lead-off home run and was the winning pitcher in the Championship Game alone.

He later joined the Reds, White Sox, Yankees, Mets, Rangers, Pirates, and the U.S. Olympic team winning the Silver.

He hit 218 home runs and batted.

241 in the Major Leagues throughout his 11 years there. This year he retired.

His charity endeavors and honorable conduct on and off the field were also mentioned in the statement announcing his induction into the Hall of Fame.

Frazier is the latest Little League Baseball World Series alum to be inducted into the Hall of Excellence, joining Don Beaver (1952), Brian Sipe (1961), Ron Ricks (1962), Lloyd McClendon (1971), Staff Sgt. Wilbert Davis (1975), Pierre Turgeon (1982), Chris Drury (1989), Michael Cammarata (1991), Krissy Wendell (2004), and Austin Dillon (2002).
