Upon arrival the man exited his vehicle, leaving the driver door open, and began erratically walking around his truck. Officers diverted traffic and secured the area before speaking with him after many witnesses claimed they saw him clutching a shotgun. He obeyed the officer's orders and indicated that he had no intention of injuring anyone else.

Officers apprehended the man and brought him to Community Medical Center for evaluation. Officers evacuated the area and determined that the vehicle was unoccupied. Two shotguns were discovered in the truck, one of which was loaded.
