SEASIDE HEIGHTS — Families of New Jersey’s fallen law enforcement officers came together this week for a day of remembrance, healing, and community at Monsignor Phil Lowery’s 19th Annual Law Enforcement Survivors Day, hosted at Breakwater Beach Waterpark.

Attorney General Jennifer Davenport, Acting Superintendent Jeanne Hengemuhle, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer, and officers from agencies across the state joined surviving families for the deeply meaningful tradition.
For nearly twenty years, the Storino family, in partnership with the New Jersey Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.), has opened the gates of Breakwater Beach to host this special gathering. The event offers families a supportive space to honor loved ones lost in the line of duty while enjoying a day filled with connection, comfort, and shared memories.
The annual Survivors Day serves as a reminder that the sacrifices made by New Jersey’s fallen heroes will never be forgotten. Families who share a unique bond are able to lean on one another, celebrate the lives of their loved ones, and find strength in the continued support of the law enforcement community.
Organizers expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Storino family and C.O.P.S. for their unwavering dedication to ensuring that the families of fallen officers are honored, supported, and never left to grieve alone.
