The third annual contest is here, and staff from New Jersey’s state parks, forests and historic sites have put their creativity to the test! Using only materials found on site, park staff have created some one-of-a-kind scarecrows inspired by their locations and a little fall spirit

According to the National Weather Service Philadelphia/Mount Holly forecast, dry conditions are expected through the weekend, making it an excellent time for outdoor activities, fall festivals, hiking, and Jersey Shore walks.

Members of Toms River PBA Local 137 are celebrating a flavorful victory after taking home the first-place award for Best Chili at the 2026 JBJ Soul Kitchen Chili Cook-Off. The annual event, hosted by JBJ Soul Kitchen, brought together community organizations and participants for a friendly culinary competition centered around one beloved comfort food: chili. Toms River PBA Local 137 expressed its appreciation to the restaurant and organizers for the opportunity to participate in the event.
