At just 17 years old, our beloved Karla Gamero left this world far too soon. Words cannot fully express the heartbreak of this tragic event. Karla was a bright light — full of kindness, laughter, and dreams for the future.

A New Jersey man has been charged in connection with a police pursuit that ended in a devastating crash, killing a 17‑year‑old high school girl in Middlesex County, according to the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office. The charges follow a months‑long investigation into the February pursuit and fatal collision.

Linda DeMaio (Gomes), 60, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Linda was born in Newark, New Jersey, and raised in Carteret before later living in Elizabeth. She eventually settled in Toms River, where she built a beautiful life with her husband, Salvatore. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Linda dedicated much of her life to caring for her family while also working as a licensed esthetician from home.
