A 19-year-old Somerset resident, identified as Jayvi Rodriguez, was killed Tuesday night after a vehicle struck his dirt bike at a busy New Brunswick intersection, authorities confirmed. The crash happened around 7:30 p.m. near Jersey Avenue and Jules Lane, where police say a vehicle collided with Rodriguez’s dirt bike, igniting both the bike and the vehicle in flames as emergency crews arrived.
