William Thomas “Bill” Sommeling, 90, of Toms River

William Thomas "Bill" Sommeling, 90, of Toms River, NJ, died peacefully at home on July 23, 2026, at 9:45 pm, surrounded by his wife and daughters. Bill was born on October 29, 1935, in Camden, NJ. He attended Toms River High School South, and went on to further his education at Rider College, Trenton State College, and Cornell University. He served as both a Seaside Heights Police Officer as well as a Dover Township Police Officer
